Contemporary May–June 1956 notice pairs the 3d and 2/6 on 22 March; its printed wording is “replaced for sale”. Read as the new-value release in context: March notice excludes both from its eight initial denominations, and Corbin independently explicitly dates the 2/6 issue to 22 March 1956. The previous 2/6 January date is superseded.
