VerifiedJetten's 1967 technical account specifies the £1 stamp's printer, recess process, watermark and perforation. It specifically distinguishes Malta's country name as recess-printed; the general omnibus description of a typographed country name does not apply here. These specifications are not inferred for the companion 1d value.
