Sources & verification

Partially verified

The specimen-based study explicitly attributes this date and physical group. Independent contemporary corroboration of the first-sale day and specialist examination of the physical stamp remain open.

Research notes: The sideways watermark is classified as type 4 in the cited study, the same classification as the 1925 unsurfaced paper. This group counts a physical paper change, not the shade variations. The 2d is dated only 1937 and ½d only 1941 because the scan obscures part of the day. The 1d and 1/- are attributed to 9 April 1943; the other six values to 26 June 1946. Printer attribution is supported by the contemporary Said account (printed p16), which identifies Bradbury Wilkinson as printers of these permanent dues since1925. This is a historical attribution; original production invoices and physical printing-process confirmation remain open.
